Londonderry pipe bomb: PSNI investigating sectarian motive
Police say attack may have been a hate crime
Police probing a pipe bomb attack in Londonderry say it may have been sectarian.
A loud bang was reported in Bonds Place in the Waterside area just before 11 on Tuesday evening.
Officers and the ATO team were called to the scene, with damage caused to the front door of the house.
No one was injured, but a number of homes nearby had to be evacuated.
Police have decribed it as a 'reckless act' and confirmed they're looking at the device involved as a potential pipe bomb.
