Sixth arrest in Lyra McKee murder probe

Police investigating the killing of Lyra McKee in L’Derry in 2019 have made a sixth arrest.

The journalist was fatally shot while reporting on unrest in the Creggan area of the city - it is alleged - by a New IRA gunman.

Five men, a 20 year old, two 21 year old, a 41 and 54 year old were arrested on Tuesday March 15 under the Terrorism Act this morning. A 26-year old man was then also later detained.

They have been taken to Musgrave Serious Crime suite for questioning.
