Coleraine: deaths of two men in house 'not suspicious'

The deaths of two men in Coleraine are not being treated as suspicious at this time, according to the PSNI.

They were found in a house in Elms Park yesterday (Monday).

The PSNI and the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) were called to the property shortly after 2.30pm.

In a statement, the PSNI said: " Following the report of the sudden deaths of two men at a property in the Elms Park area of Coleraine on Monday afternoon (29th November), police attended the scene, along with other emergency services, and are satisfied that there is no immediate risk to the public.

"The deaths are not being treated as suspicious at this time. "

SDLP East Derry MLA Cara Hunter said she is shocked following the discovery of the two bodies.

Ms Hunter said: "I was shocked and saddened to hear of the deaths of two men in Coleraine on Monday.

"My condolences go out to their families and friends at this very difficult time."
