Man in his 30s assaulted in Co Armagh
It is believed the altercation involved a number of men
An injured man was found in the Ormonde Street area of Portadown last night (Saturday, 16th December).
A police spokesperson said, "It was reported just after 11.35pm that a man had been stabbed to the chest. Officers attended alongside colleagues from Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and, thankfully, it was established that this was incorrect; however a man aged in his 30s had received facial injuries which had caused substantial blood loss."
Police enquiries are continuing. It is believed the alteration involved a number of men, and that the victim was assaulted with a weapon.
The injuries received are not believed to be life-threatening.
