Snow Patrol have added Two Door Cinema Club to their NI music celebration this May at Ward Park Bangor.

Following two years of worldwide touring, playing to ever growing audiences, and culminating in headlining to a 40,000 sold out audience at Community Festival, London, in June 2018, Two Door Cinema Club are joining the local lineup of Foy Vance, ASH, SOAK, Jealous of the Birds, Brand New Friend, JC Stewart, The Wood Burning Savages, Kitt Philippa, and ROE.

About Ward Park 3

Snow Patrol are without doubt, the biggest band that Northern Ireland has ever produced. Over the last 25 years Snow Patrol have released 7 albums and racked up an impressive number of critical and commercial accolades, including: 16 million global album sales, 1 billion global track streams, 5 UK Platinum Albums, and are Grammy and Mercury Music Prize nominated.

This year they will do the hat trick and return to Ward Park – their last visit was the biggest show to have ever taken place in Northern Ireland.

WARD PARK 3 will be a celebration of Northern Irish music, a day for people to come together and celebrate their rich history and to invite an international audience to come and see everything that Northern Ireland has to offer.

This one-day event will see Snow Patrol supported by a host of Northern Irish bands: Foy Vance, Ash, SOAK, Jealous of the Birds, Brand New Friend and now including: Two Door Cinema Club.

There will also be a second stage curated by Snow Patrol and Gary Lightbody’s NI artist development company, Third Bar, with up and coming artists including JC Stewart, The Wood Burning Savages, Kitt Philippa and ROE showcasing the future of the NI music scene.

Snow Patrol’s album Wildness, their first album in seven years, is out now and available for purchase on all formats here. To celebrate the release of Wildness, Snow Patrol debuted new music videos for “A Youth Written In Fire,” “Life and Death,” “Wild Horses,” “Soon,” and “A Dark Switch.” The band has previously released music videos for “Empress” “What If This Is All The Love You Ever Get?,” “Life On Earth,” and “Don’t Give In,” and you can watch them all here.

Stephen Reid, Ards and North Down Borough Council Chief Executive says: “The Council could not be more delighted to support MCD Productions to bring Snow Patrol back home to Ward Park for this concert. The two previous gigs in 2007 and 2010 were fantastic events for everyone who attended and gave a significant boost to residents and businesses in the town. We look forward to working with all those involved to make this a truly fantastic and memorable concert.”
