Unless you've been living under a rock for the last few months, you'll be aware that we are getting not one, but TWO series of hit reality show Love Island in 2020, with a Winter series being confirmed by bosses.

The show, which is expected to air in February 2020, will take place out in South Africa, but now it's been revealed that bosses have been urged to reconsider the location due to 'fears over violent crime'.

According to new reports, the Police have stated that violent crimes in South Africa have increased between April 2018 and March 2019, with a source telling the Daily Star that bosses have been urged to rethink filming there.

The source also said, "Cape Town International Airport welcomed 5.3 million holiday makers last year – up 3% on the previous year."

Despite the new reports, ITV are yet to comment.

Following the success of Love Island in the last few years, ITV made the decision to create a Winter series earlier this year, announcing the news just weeks ahead of the 2019 final, which saw Amber Gill and Greg O'Shea win the show.

Paul Mortimer, Head of Digital Channels and Acquisitions at ITV said, “Off the back of a record-breaking year, we're delighted to be bringing an extra series of our biggest and sunniest show to the 2020 schedule.

"Love Island has proven yet again to be the perfect format that engages younger audiences. In response to this viewer appetite, a new batch of young singletons will deliver some highly anticipated post-Christmas romance and drama from our new and luxurious location."

TOMMY STOLE LUCIE FROM JOE

After surfer girl Lucie coupled up with Joe on the first episode of the series, things seemed to get off to a good start... before Tommy entered hours later.

Tommy chose to couple up with Lucie, stealing her from poor Joe. He said in the Beach Hut, "At the moment the girl I want to pursue is going to be Lucie. She's a surfer, she goes to the gym. Her body is banging. She has beautiful eyes, a beautiful face, beautiful everything."
