Michelle Keegan's turn as Corporal Georgie Lane in Our Girl ended in April 2020 after four years on the show. Although fans were devastated to see her go, they were happy that her character had been given a happy ending and hope for the future, after all the tragedy in her life.

Although Michelle is now moving on from the show, she has opened up about the possibility of a return to Our Girl - and fans will be VERY happy to hear what she had to say.

In an interview with Digital Spy, Michelle admitted that the "door was open", seeing as Georgie hadn't been killed off, adding that she loved the show and loved being a part of it.

She said, "I can't say what's going to happen in the future and now because it's been on screen and Georgie hasn't been killed, I can now say the door has been left open for Georgie to return, which is great for me because I absolutely love the show and it's such a special show to be a part of.

"For me I'll never say never to going back, ever. I love playing Georgie Lane – it was such a challenging yet rewarding role."

Michelle added of her character's ending, "So we know how Georgie exited the show now, she got the closure that she desperately needed, she finally took the ring off her dog tags. That was a symbol that she's been carrying that burden, she's been carrying that grief and she's been carrying the ring round her neck and it's weighed her down.

"The end scene, after everything that's happened, she dealt with that grief and she's free. I think Georgie will always love Elvis but she's dealt with the grief now and it's given her closure to move on."
