We are just over a week away from Love Island 2018 and fans are super excited ahead of its return. Whilst there have been many conversations over how this year's contestants will be chosen, it seems that Love Island bosses have taken to an unusual method to find this year's Islanders.

Metro.co.uk reports that the show's bosses revealed they have used the dating app Tinder to find potential contestants. Speaking at the Royal Television society, senior producer Angela Jain said they wanted to find some different hopefuls this year, not just those looking for fame. "We don’t want to cast the same characters every time. We aren’t looking for the next Camilla or the next Montana, that’s the opposite of what we’re looking for," Angela explained.

This latest news comes just week after it was revealed that Love Island were also set to bring back some 'old contestants'. According to reports, bosses at Love Island will draft in stars from series one, two and three to go on 'double dates' with this year's Islanders.

Speaking to the press, a TV insider revealed that not only do bosses have a massive 45 stars lined up already, there has been some talk of bringing back some of the more famous stars from the past three series. This could be very interesting!

Now see who is rumoured to be taking part in Love Island 2018.

Dani Dyer

Dani Dyer was forced to leave Survival Of The Fittest earlier this year after injuring her elbow in the first task. It was then reported that Love Island producers were keen to book her for the upcoming series.

It has now seemingly been confirmed that she's going on the show, but has been banned from having sex on TV by her father, EastEnders actor Danny Dyer.

In other Love Island news it was revealed that the show's bosses will have to go to the designated smoking area alone. This follows a high volume of complaints from viewers over the past series, with last year nearly every contestant smoking at some point. A source told Digital Spy, "There will be no smoking within the Love Island villa or the main villa garden this year."

Back in 2016, winner Nathan Massey was made aware of his dad's unhappiness at the sight of seeing him smoking after Nathan's mum and auntie arrived in the villa during the last week. Nathan's mum revealed that his dad doesn't care about the 'sex', but is concerned about him 'smoking'.

With just over a week until the start date of the new series of Love Island fans have been treated to some teaser trailers including a 55 second long trailer which shows a bunch of actors on a plane as Iain Stirling says, "Please fasten your seat belts for the ride of your life." As pilot Caroline tells the passengers things are going to get "turbulent", the plane turns into a party with a number of classic Love Island phrases being used without.
