The worlds of Love Island fans up and down the country have been rocked by the news that winners Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer have actually SPLIT. Despite viewers being certain that the two would go the distance and get married, they've called time on their relationship just one week after filming the Love Island Christmas reunion show.

Taking to her Instagram Story, Dani wrote, 'Jack & I have sadly decided to part ways. It's been an incredible six months, and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but sadly we've come to the realisation that it's not meant to be long term.'

Although it was filmed a week before they announced their split, perhaps the show will reveal what cracks were starting to appear in their relationship - and their fellow villa resident Paul Knops has revealed that the reunion is certainly going to make for fiery viewing.

Speaking to Metro.co.uk, Paul said, "There were some feuds of course. Obviously meeting up with the exes, it’s not always great to go into an environment like that. I think everyone’s been able to have their say, one-on-one with their exes, and the rest of it was just good fun."

"Based on what I saw, I think there’s going to be some things where viewers will go, 'That’s interesting'. I can’t give too much away but there were some pretty racy moments and high tempers."

If we were excited before, we're literally on the edges of our SEATS with impatience now. After Dani and Jack's shock split, that means there's only Megan Barton-Hanson and Wes Nelson, Zara McDermott and Adam Collard, and Kaz Crossley and Josh Denzel left in couples from this year's series.

The Love Island Christmas reunion will air on Monday 19th December at 9pm.
