Love Island 2018: Where is it filmed?
The new series of Love Island starts soon!
With so many Love Island trailers fans are getting super excited over the brand new series of the show which is set to hit our screens VERY soon. With Love Island in mind we thought we'd find out everything there is to know about the infamous villa, including where it is and what luxuries it has!
Where is the Love Island villa?
As the new series of the show is about to hit our screens, there is much talk about the sun-soaked villa, but where exactly is the Love Island villa? Well, it is probably a lot closer to the UK than most imagined. The villa used last year, and expected to be used again in 2018, is located in Mallorca, also known as Majorca. Mallorca is one of the Spanish Balearic Islands, along with the infamous party island Ibiza, Formentera and Menorca.
The villa is situated high up in the hills, on the outskirts of a small town called Sant Llorenç des Cardassar. As well as being a luxury villa with all the amenities, the Love Island villa boasts the biggest private pool in the Balearics.
What is inside the Love Island villa?
Inside and out the villa is kitted out with all types of luxuries, including an infinity pool, hot tub, outdoor gym, outdoor kitchen and fire pit. There is also plenty of space for all of the contestants to relax, chat and of course (hopefully) fall in love.
Inside the Love Island villa there are over 70 cameras installed to catch all of the action inside the villa, with all of the Islanders having to wear microphones throughout their time in the villa.

Can you stay in the Love Island villa?
There are differing reports on whether or not it is possible stay in the Love Island villa. Whilst the Liverpool Echo reports it isn't possible to stay in the villa, as it is privately owned by a French businessman, OK! magazine says that it is possible to rent out the villa at around £3000 a week.
Can you visit the Love Island villa?
Although it is unlikely that you can visit the Love Island villa - unless of course you are involved with the show - it is possible to visit the area and similar villas. It is thought that similar villas in the area are worth around £2.5 million.
Applications are still OPEN for this year's Love Island! The advert on the ITV2 website reads, 'ITV2 are looking for vibrant singles from across the UK who want to head to the sun, in search of a summer of love. The chosen cast will spend time in a luxury villa, getting to know one another - but to remain in paradise they must also win the hearts of the public.'
