The stand out TV show of 2017 was by far Love Island. We basically cancelled all socials plans in June and July and spent every night watching a bunch of sassy, sexy singletons mugging each other off in a luxury villa in Majorca.

As well as a new bunch of new celebrities to stalk on Instagram, an engagement and a huge helping of relationship drama, Love Island also brought us a whole new dictionary of words which seem to have slipped into our everyday vocabulary.

So, if you fancy putting all your eggs in one basket this summer, applications for the new series of Love Island are now OPEN.

That's right, Love Island is coming back for 2018 and show bosses are on the hunt for 'lively singles from across the country' to apply for the new series.

Once again the lucky few will jet off to a luxury villa, where they'll have to couple up and win over the public to be in with a chance of bagging the prize money.

But before you start, here's a few things you need to know about the application process.

How to apply for Love Island 2018

Rules and regulations:

1) You need to be 18 years of age or over on or before the closing date of 30 April 2018.

BRB, we're just off to try and shed the extra 314314314134 pounds gained over the Christmas break to get ourselves villa ready.

In completely brand new information - Marcel was in the 90's band Blazin Squad. WE KNOW RIGHT. He's so modest about that sort of thing.
