Former model and TV personality Katie Price performed her brand new single 'I Got U' live on Loose Women today, but she was quick to encourage viewers to buy the Grenfell Tower tribute song instead of her own.

Katie, who usually sits on the Loose Woman panel, appeared on the show as a guest as she promoted her track 'I Got U', but whilst talking to the ladies, Katie told her fans to buy the Artists For Grenfell charity single which is also released today.

Following the tragic fire which claimed the lives of 79 people in London last week, music mogul Simon Cowell managed to rally up a number of high profile artists such as Liam Payne, Rita Ora and Robbie Williams to record a cover of Simon and Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'.

All proceeds of the track, which is available to download now, will go to the people affected by the awful tragedy.

Meanwhile Katie gave the first live performance of her new song 'I Got U' in the Loose Women studio this afternoon. Accompanied by two dancers, Katie belted out her new track, which was written by former X Factor contestant Craig Colton.

Watch her performance below:

Despite admitting even her manager isn't behind her, Katie remained confident in her singing ability when she said, "It won't be a flop. I'm doing this because it's my passion, and I can do it, and I will do it."

This isn't the first time the mum-of-five has tried to make it in the music business.

Katie attempted to represent the United Kingdom at the Eurovision Song Contest back in 2005 with the track 'Making Your Mind Up'. However Katie lost out to Javine, who went on to the finals.

She then recorded 'A Whole New World' with her ex-husband Peter Andre in 2006, with all proceeds of the single going to charities involved with her eldest son Harvey.

The last time Katie tried her hand at music was in 2010 when she released a single called 'Free To Love Again', which charted at number 60 on the official UK charts.

Both Katie's track 'I Got U' and the Artists For Grenfell charity single are available to download now.
