Fans of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! Extra Camp were left scratching their heads last night after one of the three main presenters, Joel Dommett, was nowhere to be seen. His fellow hosts, Scarlett Moffatt and Joe Swash, revealed that he was unwell and carried on gallantly, but fans were left wondering what was wrong with him.

But the comedian, who came second to Scarlett when they competed in I'm A Celebrity... 2016 together, has now revealed on his Instagram that he was rushed to HOSPITAL after sustaining a serious injury on the set.

Taking to his social media profile, Joel shared two photos of himself to reveal that he'd had a nasty accident, telling his fans what happened - with one photo showing him getting stitches in his head, and another with a bandage around the wound.

He wrote, 'Unfortunately due to unforeseen windy circumstances blowing the set onto my head during rehearsals, I won’t be able to present Extra Camp this evening. I had seven stitches like a big brave boy and I’ll be back tomorrow.

'To be honest, I’m less worried about my health and more worried that the show will be better without me. Half a day off school to go home and watch neighbours! Woo! GOOD LUCK @scarlettmoffatt and @realjoeswashy.'

The 32-year-old then posted two videos to his Instagram Story, joking that he'd been wearing Scarlett's jumper at the time, which was now covered in his blood and promised to wash it before giving it back.

He also made the good point that as they're in Australia, he's unable to watch the show - and asked his fans to let him know how it was going, even revealing that he'd woken up to Joe Swash kissing his forehead!

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight on ITV at 9pm.
