Game of Thrones is almost completely over forever, so fans are inevitably poring over each episode with a fine tooth comb and analysing every single detail - and, of course, having a lot of questions and opinions about each episode.

But because of this, fans are not missing a trick - so when the GOT crew accidentally appeared to leave a Starbucks coffee cup in the middle of a scene, it did not go unnoticed.

During a celebratory feast - which was somewhat sombre, considering they'd just had a SPOILER ALERT funeral for the victims of the Battle of Winterfell in the previous episode - a Starbucks takeaway cup was spotted in front of Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Stormborn.

Fans went wild for the gaffe, taking to Twitter with some pretty hilarious comments. One wrote, 'You're telling me they had TWO YEARS to put together a decent show and they couldn't even spot the goddamn Starbucks cup in Winterfell??!?! #GameOfThrones.'

Another hilariously tweeted, 'My favorite show in the entire world forgot a STARBUCKS COFFEE CUP ON THE TABLE WHILE FILMING.'

Take a trip down memory lane to see how the Game of Thrones cast looked then vs. now...

HBO have now responded to the blunder, taking to Twitter with a GIF of Daenerys looking smug and toasting something with an appropriate cup.

They wrote, 'News from Winterfell. The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. #Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea.'

Fans responded to the tweet, giving credit where credit is due to HBO, with one writing, 'I salute you, HBO social media guy. You did good,' whilst another thought there was a business opportunity on the horizon, 'I mean, clearly @Starbucks needs to capitalise on this and make a #GameofThrones drink available for us all to enjoy.'

Game of Thrones continues on Sky Atlantic on Mondays at 2am and 9pm.
