Quite frankly, village life has been a long slog for Rebecca White and Ross Barton. No amount of fresh countryside air can rid this pair of some pretty horrific memories.

Only recently, Rebecca found herself kidnapped and tied up by her murderous nephew Lachlan White, and Ross tried to take his own life after being left permanently scarred by a horrific acid attack. Just another year in the Dales then, yeah? BUT, against all the odds, Rebecca and Ross found each other!

It might come as no surprise that Ross wants out and to start afresh. However, it's not as simple as that, and Rebecca's not entirely convinced.

We know that Ross is going for sure, but will he convince Rebecca to go with him?

Meanwhile, Cain Dingle reveals a dark secret to Moira Barton, but will she be able to keep it from Debbie Dingle? And poor Daz Spencer is heartbroken after Bernice Blackstock chucked him for the dishy Dr Cavanagh, but can he get her back?

What's happening in Emmerdale this week?

It's a painfully sad week in the Dales as the village says goodbye to Chas Dingle and Paddy Kirk's baby. Before the funeral, Cain Dingle finds Chas and becomes concerned that she's not ready to let go of her daughter.

But Paddy soon comes to find her and the couple are overwhelmed by the support of the villagers when they step out to lead the procession. (They're a good bunch, really....)

Emmerdale airs on ITV every weeknight at 7pm.
