Andrea assures officers that she and Millie are both fine. Delivering the news to Jamie they refuse to disclose her whereabouts.

Leyla has been visiting Andrea and manages to convince her to come back to the village but they arrive home just in time to catch an intimate exchange between Jamie and Belle.

Belle and Jamie are declaring their love for one another when Andrea and Leyla turn up and watch their exchange unseen.

Her worst fears confirmed, a heartbroken Andrea tells Leyla there's no way she can stay here and immediately leaves again.

Later on, Jamie is stunned to find Millie back home in the living room on her own but there's no sign of Andrea.

Elsewhere, Will suggests to Harriet they meet with the Bishop to discuss their upcoming wedding but Harriet isn't so enthused.

At the café, Harriet confides in Laurel that she's having second thoughts about marrying Will and Laurel is sympathetic.

Later on, Harriet arranges to meet Malone at the empty church to tell him that she can't see him any more and wants him out of her life.

When Malone makes it clear he's not going anywhere, Harriet feels threatened but can't deny that his dark side excites her.

Meanwhile, Will and Dawn go to meet with the bishop but Harriet doesn't show, leaving Will and Dawn to awkwardly cover for her.

Lydia can't help but wonder if Paul and Mandy still have feelings for each other, while Vinny is hopeful they've turned a corner.

At the shop, Jacob and Leanna get into another argument and Jacob worries that he might be losing her for good.

Moira bumps into Ricky at the shop and Ricky feeds back to Rhona and Nate that Moira will be sitting in on the meeting.

Emmerdale is returning to normal episodes after a series of coronavirus-era episodes which followed a selection of characters in lockdown.

We've seen the return of mother and son duo Mandy and Vinny Dingle, who discuss Vinny's dad, Paul Ashadale's recent arrival in the village, and Mandy divulge the dark secret that kept them apart.

Jimmy and Nicola King struggled to see eye-to-eye and tensions were high as Nicola wondered what it might mean for their marriage.

And last week, Paddy Kirk and Chas Dingle also looked back at their relationship and toward their future, while Elliot Chapman confronted dad Al about why he was never a real father growing up.
