Emmerdale fans, it is time to rejoice because Danny Miller, who plays Aaron Dingle, has revealed he is NOT leaving the show, even though his on-screen husband Ryan Hawley quit the soap.

Danny, who has played the village heartthrob for 11 years, revealed he has no intention of quitting and will stay for as long as he can!

Speaking to The Daily Star, the 28-year-old said, "It’s been 11 years now and there really is nothing like being called upstairs about a big storyline. I’m still buzzing about what’s coming up. I’m happy to stay as long as they’ll have me".

Danny went on to explain that he never expects to be kept on each year, adding, "Even now, I never expect a new contract, because I think you can become a bit too comfortable which can make you lazy. I never take any of it for granted".

This is good news for fans, after they were left devastated when Ryan Hawley, who has played Robert Sugden for five years, revealed he will be leaving the Yorkshire Dales, to pursue other acting roles.

Announcing the news, Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw said, "Ryan Hawley is leaving the show - it's been a fantastic five years with him and we will miss him dearly. There is some time left with him on screen yet but in time, it does mean that our beloved Robron are going to be parted".

However, Emmerdale did hint Robert's exit will be dramatic. Laura revealed, "Victoria's Robert's sister evil rapist Lee is still pursuing her. Victoria decides the only way to get away is to leave the village forever. Robert is devastated and doesn't want her to go.

"Lee piles the pressure on her and Robert has been pushed to the edge and he is on a mission to get his revenge on Lee even if it kills him".

She concluded, "You've seen in the past what happens with Aaron when he unravels so when he is parted from his beloved Robert, it's going to be explosive".

In true Emmerdale style, it's going to kick off!
