Lily Collins opens up about the future of Emily in Paris
Oh la la! 🇫🇷
Emily in Paris has been a hit series for Netflix starring Lily Collins, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Ashley Park, and Lucien Laviscount, and after the third series was released in December 2022, fans have been calling out for more!
With the series set to return for a fourth season, Lily, who stars in the lead role of Emily Cooper, has opened up about her thoughts on the programme's future.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the Academy of Museum of Motion Pictures, for the ninth annual Breakthrough Prize Ceremony, Lily revealed that she thought the series could go "on and on" if the audience want it.
When asked what she knew about the fourth season, she said: "I don't actually know much! I just know, obviously, the many cliffhangers, and there's multiple ways in which it could go. I just know that there's gonna be obviously more drama, more laughs and more fashion and more travel. I think, so I'm really excited."
She was then asked if she thought season four would be the end of the hit TV series, to which she admitted: "I can totally see it going on and on, but I think we have to leave it to people and the fans to watch it and love it, and hope that we get to do more, so everyone... please love it!"
Lily previously told Entertainment Tonight: "I heard all the endings and thought they were alts. Then I realised they were all the endings at once. I was like, 'Wait, there’s a wedding and then there’s a wedding that doesn’t happen or this engagement that turns into a wedding that turns into a non-wedding, which turns into a pregnancy announcement, which turns into, like, 'What the f--k? What?!'"
As fans of the series will know, the final episode of series three ended with a cliffhanger, after Gabriel and Camille's wedding didn't go ahead when Camille revealed she knows Gabriel has feelings for Emily. Gabriel then reveals to Emily that Camille is pregnant!
Seasons one to three of Emily in Paris are now available to watch on Netflix. We don't have a release date yet for the fourth season.
