Fans of Danny Dyer will be happy to hear that the 41-year-old actor has only gone and got a new job after taking a break from EastEnders for six weeks - he'll be hosting Have I Got News For You.

The Mick Carter actor will reportedly host the panel show next month which follows his stint on ITV's Good Evening Britain show where he infamously expressed his feelings about ex-Prime Minister David Cameron during a rant about Brexit.

According to Mirror, producers signed him up because of his "everyman approach". The news comes after the publication reported that Danny will also star in a follow-up of his Who Do You Think You Are? episode.

A source revealed that the BBC has endless "posh presenters", but that Danny "offers something different". They continued, "Beeb bosses think he makes dull topics accessible, and they think he’ll do a good job at holding the fort on Have I Got News For You.

"All being well, he’ll front the show next month and the public will get more of his succinct views on the state of Britain."
