Announcements for next year's Dancing On Ice are coming in thick and fast at the moment. Just earlier today we revealed that Pussycat Doll singer Melody Thornton would be taking to the rink, and NOW a Coronation Street legend has been announced as the latest celebrity.

Jane Danson, who has played Leanne Battersby on the popular soap for many years, revealed on Loose Women today (4th October) that she will be taking part in the series, and has known since July! Speaking to the panel she also revealed that she is seeing it as challenge for herself, as she will be 40-years-old next month.

However, Jane revealed she has been getting tips from some of the cast who have taken part before, including last year's contestant, Coronation Street's Brook Vincent, who took part and got all the way through to the final three!

Also announced today, is Mark Little, former Neighbours star (Joe Mangel) and comedian. Speaking about his involvement with the show, Mark said, "How exciting this is! My skating is pretty rickety. I'll be trying to find the elegance, the strength, the smoothness. I'm a bit of a danger man, a bit of a risk taker, and I do like dancing so let's see what happens."

Dancing on Ice will return in January 2019 hosted by Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby. The pair will be joined by judges, ice skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, and choreographer Jason Gardiner.

Earlier this year, Brooke Vincent, Jake Quickenden and Max Evans all made it to the final after impressing the audience at home and the ice panel, however it was former The X Factor contestant Jake, who was crowned winner of the 2018 series.
