Strictly Come Dancing fans were left in shock earlier this year when professorial dancer Brendan Cole announced he'd been axed from the show, but according to judge Craig Revel Horwood, there could be more to come!

After Brendan's shock revelation, Craig has now told The Daily Star that nobody is safe, adding 'everyone is replaceable'.

He said, "Everyone is replaceable, everyone. They could get someone else to replace me. They wouldn't be as good though! I usually know around June. So it will be a month and a half before I know if I'm doing the next series."

However, despite Craig's words, it looks like his job is definitely safe for another year.

According to reports earlier this month, all four judges from last year's show will be back, with Shirley Ballas once again taking up the role of head judge.

A TV insider said, "Shirley and the BBC wanted to do another series so everyone's chuffed they've come to an agreement. The whole panel is coming back."

Brendan, who has appeared on the show since the very first series, first announced he'd been sacked during an interview on Lorraine in January.

Holding back the tears, Brendan said, “It’s quite, actually, hard to talk about. The BBC haven’t renewed my contract. We get contracted year upon year. They’ve made an editorial decision to not have me back on the show. I’m a little bit in shock. I’m quite emotional, a bit raw about it.

“It’s done via a process of a phone call and stuff. I have had 15 incredible series on the show. I’m very proud of the whole show. It’s a great team.”

He later added, “I’m disappointed. It’s very hard to talk about. It’s a recent decision."

In other Strictly Come Dancing news, with the new series set to return later in the year rumours are heating up about which celebrities will be signed for the show.

With Michelle Keegan, Rylan Clark-Neal and Gemma Collins all rumoured to appear, last week it was revealed that bosses would love to sign up a member of the Spice Girls.

Of course, Emma Bunton took part in the show back in 2006, but with new rumours of the band's reunion, bosses want either Melanie C, Melanie B or Geri Horner to take part in the 2018 series.
