Did you spot it?

Last night viewers spotted a gaffe in Coronation Street which they couldn't stop laughing about on social media. In one particular scene of the ITV soap at the Rosamund Street Medical Centre, Liz McDonald could be seen telling off Moira Pollock after she looked up Carla Connor's age. However, it wasn't the characters that viewers were laughing at, it was the phone on the desk.

In the scene the surgery phone WASN'T plugged in! This apparent error caused viewers to take to social media to comment on the observation. One viewer tweeted, '@itvcorrie what’s happened to the cable, don’t look like the surgery will have any calls tonight. Lol. #nophonecable #cable #nocalls'. sic

Another viewer tweeted, 'Whoops #Corrie Phone not plugged in at Docs.' sic

This isn't the first time this month that viewers have noticed a 'gaffe' in the popular soap. Just last week viewers were left confused when Toyah Battersby ordered an omlette. Many fans thought the character was vegan, however Coronation Street responded to viewers's comments saying that she was actually vegetarian, but she has a number of vegan friends.

The topic of conversation was brought up on the Coronation Street official Facebook page, which prompted the soap to respond. Replying to one viewer who said, 'I thought Toya is vegan ? Yet she only ordered an omelette in the cafe 😂', sic the official account replied saying, 'She's a vegetarian with vegan friends ;)'.

It seems that many viewers thought she was vegan because in one episode the character, played by Georgia Taylor, invited some of her friends over, who happened to belong to the Vegan Society.

Toyah was also subject of a 'plot flaw' last week which many viewers noticed. In one scene Eva was stood behind the bar in a black dress - but her eight-month bump was quite clearly visible to all, despite the character not being pregnant. So why didn't Toyah or any of the characters notice or say anything?!
