After Tim expresses his regret at not believing Yasmeen in the first place, Alya pays a visit to her nan in prison with some good news.
Alya explains to Yasmeen that by way of apology Tim has agreed to stand in as a witness for her in the upcoming trial.
Later on, Tim bumps into his dad in the street and breaks the news that he's going to stand as witness for the defence, leaving Geoff horrified.
Following Tim's revelation Geoff is alone at Speed Dahl when Ray arrives on the scene and offers to buy number 6 off him for a cut price.
Geoff is given food for thought and later on Ray tells Debbie that he's managed to convince Geoff to sell up, reminding her they need to buy up as much property as possible before things go public.
Back at the restaurant, Geoff has weighed up his options and calls Alya to tell her he's changed his mind about everything and is selling up and moving to Cyprus.
Later on Alya grows even more suspicious when she spots a furtive Geoff arriving home late at night carrying an overnight bag.
After paying a visit to number 4 to share her thoughts with Tim and Sally, they let themselves into Geoff's place for some snooping.
But they're caught in the act when Geoff arrives home suddenly and demand they get out of his house immediately. What's he hiding?
Elsewhere, Peter's relapse has triggered old feelings in Johnny and Jenny confides in Carla about Johnny's historical crimes, leaving a security guard for dead.
Jenny urges Johnny to forget about it, that it was a long time ago. But then a woman called Margaret pays a visit to the Rovers and introduces herself at the mother of the guard.
A guilt-ridden Johnny comes clean about everything, admitting he was responsible for her son's death, finally ready to face the consequences.
When Jenny finds out what's happened she frantically catches up with Margaret and begs her not to go to the police station.
Meanwhile, Carla meets with Peter to talk about what she's learned about her dad and her reassures her that their relationship is strong.
Back at the Rovers, Johnny tries to prepare Jenny for the possibility of him going to prison, but Jenny is burying her head in the sand and brightly tells Johnny her step-daughter Daisy is coming by for lunch.
A frustrated Johnny scrabbles for a way to hit home and ends up telling Daisy all about his affair with Liz, and Jenny's attempts to run her over.
While Jenny is mortified, Daisy seems to be loving watching her squirm and pushes Johnny for more juicy gossip on her step-mum.
As their lunch intensifies, Jenny and Johnny's row escalates, especially when Jenny ends up asking Daisy to stay for dinner.
But they're soon interrupted by the arrival of the police who tell Johnny they're arresting him on suspicion of burglary and GBH. Is it game over?
Meanwhile, Adam spots an opportunity with Sarah and tries his best to convince her to give their relationship another chance.
Sarah suggests they meet for a drink later in the week and when they catch up at the Bistro it's decision time - will they be able to work out their differences?
Elsewhere, it's clear Leanne is fighting Oliver's battle alone after Steve backs out and she tells Imran she wants to sue the hospital for negligence.
But Imran has a development of his own to share and gently explains to a distraught Leanne that's he's no longer willing to represent her.
Leanne spirals into a pit of depression and when Toyah later mentions how hard it was for Imran to make the decision, she snaps.
A heartbroken Leanne accuses her sister of betraying her and vows to prove everyone wrong by holding the hospital accountable.
Not in her right mind, Leanne pays a visit to the solicitor's office and begs Imran to reconsider, and help her as a friend.
Imran isn't swaying and soon Leanne becomes hysterical, pushing over a filing cabinet and locking them both into the office.
Imran manages to get in touch with Nick and Toyah and after breaking in from the outside, Nick soothes Leanne and she eventually reveals she's dropping the appeal.
After agreeing with Steve to let Oliver die with dignity, Leanne heads home to get his favourite pyjamas but breaks down and admits to Nick she can't face it.
With Nick and Toyah's support, Leanne makes it to the hospital where she and Steve sing 'You Are My Sunshine' to Oliver in his final moments.
