It's been a rough couple of weeks for former Celebrity Big Brother star Coleen Nolan, after her CBB nemesis Kim Woodburn appeared on Loose Women last week in an attempt for the pair to 'build bridges', things didn't go to plan and ended in Kim STORMING off set.

And after receiving a ton of 'hate' messages following the drama, Coleen appeared on This Morning with hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield where she broke down in tears revealing a number of online trolls said to her, 'Why can’t you die like your sister?'.

Now, after what she dubbed as 'the worst week of her life', Coleen has released a statement revealing she's taking a hiatus from her role on Loose Women, as well as postponing her 'Never Too Late' concert tour.

A statement from her team reads, “Following the constant online bullying, trolling and misrepresentation of her words and reactions, it is with sad regret that Coleen is taking an immediate hiatus from all her current commitments including Loose Women and postponing her Never Too late solo concert tour.

"Coleen has spent 50 years in show-business and 18 years as one of the most loved members of the Loose Women panel, and has never been subjected to such a horrifying torrent of online abuse or such a heart-breaking attack on her reputation.

“Coleen is devastated to let her supporters and fans down, but is currently not strong enough to withstand this constant unfounded online abuse, so she will be taking time out and spending it with her children and family where she feels loved and respected. She sends her love to everyone who has supported her and knows who she really is and plans to return when she feels stronger."

Earlier this week, Coleen cancelled her appearance on Loose Women after she'd earlier broken down in tears on This Morning.

Taking to Twitter at the time, Coleen's team wrote, 'Just to let everyone know - Coleen won’t be on @loosewomen on Thursday she’s decided to go home & spend time with her family instead-she didnt expect to cry on @thismorning And she’s still very upset about everything thats happened &thanks you for your kind messages & support x.' sic

Coleen's team later shared another message out to her fans, adding, 'So sorry we can’t reply to all the dm’s and emails of support - please accept our apologies there are too many to answer each one - just know Coleen is thankful for everyone who has taken the time to write kind words to her 💔'. sic

Coleen had a well-publicised feud with celebrity cleaner Kim Woodburn when they were in the Celebrity Big Brother house together in January 2017.

After their meeting on Loose Women didn't quite go to plan, a number of viewers of the show called for her to be 'sacked', with Ofcom receiving over 7,000 complaints at the time.

Opening up to Holly and Phillip on This Morning, Coleen said, "It was never meant to be like that, I genuinely thought she was coming to make amends, that is what I was told and it didn’t go that way from the moment she came out.

"And I have to say it was so shocking, genuinely shocking for all of us, I don’t like to see anyone in that much distress how she was at the end," bursting into tears before adding, "I don’t know what I did wrong" - despite the fact that she did admit to being two-faced to Kim during the Loose Women show."

It's not yet been confirmed when Coleen will return to Loose Women.
