If you've not yet watched the final episode of Bake Off, we are about to reveal the winner so don't read any further if you don't want to know.
Prue, who is currently out in Bhutan, wrote on Twitter, 'No one told me judging a #gbbo final would be so emotional. I wanted them all to win. Bravo, Sophie'.
Despite quickly deleting the tweet, Prue received some harsh backlash from annoyed viewers, leading her to apologise for her error.
She wrote, 'I am so sorry to the fans of the show for my mistake this morning, I am in a different time zone and mortified by my error #GBBO.'
After last night's final, Channel 4 bosses have now responded to Prue's mistake and revealed she is 'mortified' about it.
The Mirror are reporting an insider at Channel 4 said, "We can’t be angry with Prue because we love her so much. It’s hard to be cross for something that was just an awful mistake."
They continued, "No one’s going to feel worse about it than she does herself. She’s mortified."
During last night's final, Sophie Faldo impressed Prue and Paul Hollywood to be crowned The Great British Bake Off winner ahead of Steven Carter-Bailey and Kate Lyon.
After ten weeks in the Bake Off tent, the judges' decision came down to the final showstopper, after the final three were pretty much level going into the final round.
But it was Sophie's seven-layered, honey bee-themed showstopper which stole the show in the end.
Speaking after her victory, the former Army officer described her winning moment as, "beyond anything I'd thought or dreamed of".
Sophie later took to Twitter to write, 'Not many words needed. Thanks to everyone. Beyond chuffed. #gbbo'
Ahead of last night's final, our Entertainment Team caught up with Paul Hollywood on the red carpet at The Pride Of Britain Awards.
The judge told us how he always knew the show would be a success, despite it changing channels earlier in the year.
