Catherine Tyldesley has now left her role as Eva Price on Coronation Street, having played the loveable character for seven years on the soap. And although Eva will still be on our screens for the next month or so, Cath has already moved on from the soap - even ditching her recognisable blonde locks after her last day of filming.
Speaking to OK! magazine, the 34-year-old revealed that she'd decided to leave the show to spend more time with her three-year-old son, Alfie, and to broaden her acting horizons.
Catherine admitted to the publication that it wasn't a decision she'd "taken lightly" as it was a very convenient situation for her - but stressed, "You only get one life and I want to work on other projects."
She also revealed how she'd known it had been the right decision to leave, "I knew I’d made the right decision because I felt excited. Leaving was the right decision for me and my family."
She excitedly told the publication that she's already had some auditions and has been put forward for some "really exciting" roles, adding, "I want to try as many genres as possible."
But there was one show that Catherine has really got her heart set on - and it wouldn't be an acting role, this time.

Last year, I got the chance to go down there for the first time as previously I've always been on The X Factor.** It was nice to go down and support Ruth. Never say never."
Joey Essex
Former TOWIE star Joey Essex is also a keen favourite with bosses as they think he is 'TV gold'.
Piers Morgan
Good Morning Britain presenter Piers Morgan hinted that he could be appearing on the show this year. Piers's rival Lord Alan Sugar even said he would donate £25,000 to charity if Piers does take part, and an additional £25,000 if he gets past week five!
Les Dennis
During a recent appearance on Sunday Brunch, Les Dennis said, "When I was doing Coronation Street I was approached but we weren't allowed to do it, we had a policy. I wouldn't mind doing it, I always like a challenge."

Cath was asked whether she'd ever do any reality TV shows, something along the lines of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! or Dancing On Ice - and there is one show that's caught her eye.
"I don’t watch much reality TV but the one show I do watch is Strictly Come Dancing," she confessed. "I adore it. That’s the only one I would possibly do."
