The BRITs at 40: Two-hour TV special announced

The show will celebrate over four decades of The BRIT Awards

With The BRIT Awards 2020 taking place at London's O2 Arena on Tuesday 18th February, bosses have confirmed a two-hour special show titled The BRITs at 40 will air one week before, to celebrate the ceremony's 40th anniversary.

The show, which will air on Tuesday 11th February, is a one-off special celebrating over four decades of the biggest night in UK music, with exclusive interviews from some of the world's biggest stars, including Mel B, Robbie Williams, Mick Fleetwood, Little Mix, Sam Smith, Sharon Osbourne, Dua Lipa, Davina McCall, Dizzee Rascal, Paloma Faith, Sir Tom Jones and Rick Astley.

The one-off special will be narrated by BRITs host and comedian Jack Whitehall, as the show takes a look back at some of the most memorable moments from The BRIT Awards.

The BRITs at 40 will air exactly one week before the 2020 BRIT Awards ceremony, which will see some of the world's biggest stars hit London's 02 Arena.

BRIT nominees Lewis Capaldi, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish, Mabel, Stormzy, and Celeste have all been confirmed to perform at the 2020 ceremony, with more expected to be announced closer to the event.
