Just when we were almost over the twists and turns in the final ever episode of Broadchurch, bosses of the hit drama have released an extra scene which shows how Detective Inspector Alec Hardy's Tinder date ended.

Despite the final episode clearing up a lot of questions, including the true identity of Trish Winterman's attacker, some viewers complained that they didn't find out the outcome of DI Hardy's date.

Well now, thanks to a deleted scene which comes with the official season three DVD, fans can see how the date ended.

Dubbed 'A special parting gift from the Broadchurch team to ITV viewers' the clip is one of several deleted scenes for fans who buy the new DVD.

The two minute clip shows Alec walking his date Zoe home from the restaurant with the pair chatting about who attacked Trish... forever working DI Hardy! Zoe then tells Alec 'this was nice' with Alec asking 'Can we do this again sometime?'.

The show came to a dramatic end on Monday night after three thrilling seasons on ITV.

After being left on a cliff edge throughout the season, fans discovered the culprit of the shocking crime turned out to be taxi driver Clive's 16-year-old step son Michael. It was revealed during the episode that Michael had been pressured into the attack by Leo Humphries, after Leo groomed him.

After the final episode aired earlier in the week, fans were quick to praise bosses for the 'amazing' storyline.

The final scene involved DI Hardy telling DS Miller 'see you tomorrow Miller' after the pair had once again solved the crime.

Despite many fans pleading with bosses for a fourth season, Broadchurch writer Chris Chibnell has said the show won't be back on our TV screens, however there are rumours of a film!
