Things Brits do when the sun comes out - but the country is in lockdown
Can you relate?
Last updated 20th May 2020
The weather is scorching, but you CAN'T leave the house unless you're a key worker, shopping for essentials or exercising, so... Hands up, who is guilty of grabbing the BBQ and some sun cream? After all, it's not going to last long, so enjoy it while you can.

Things Brits do when the sun comes out - but the country is in lockdown:
Have a BBQ with your household
Any hint of a bit of good weather and the BBQ is out, and pretty much anything you can heat up will be on it.
Why stop at burgers and sausages when you can put fruit and veg on it too?
Complain it’s too hot
Yes, it is hot, but remember when it was cold and we complained too? It seems that whatever the British weather throws at us we are destined to complain, but after all, isn't that what we're known for? 😂
Make a mess eating the ice cream
Although the ice cream might be coming out of the freezer rather than from an ice cream van, it doesn't mean kids still manage to get it all over their hands and face!
Buy a paddling pool
We can't go to the pool or a beach, so bring it to your back garden with a paddling pool!
Stock pile sun cream
Remember to keep safe in the sun, even if you're only in your back garden. Although, you might need all five bottles that you bought...
Buy garden games
If a paddling pool wasn't enough, why not buy some other games to play with your household? How about giant Jenga and hula hoop?
Buying plants
With so many people staying at home more than usual it means that it's a great opportunity to turn your attention to the garden.
Whether you're growing vegetables, giving your garden a makeover, or just treating your house to some plants, they'll definitely brighten up your surroundings.
