First we had the Stormzy remix of 'Shape of You', now Ed Sheeran's number one single gets a classroom remix.

While appearing on the American talk show The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Ed was joined by Jimmy and the hip-hop group The Roots for a rendition of 'Shape of You' with school instruments.

The surprisingly tuneful performance saw Ed shake a banana-shaped maraca while Jimmy swapped between the bass drum, keyboard, guiro and blocks.

Members of The Roots then took control of various instruments including xylophones, bongos and a tambourine.

'Shape of You' debuted at number one in the UK chart when it was released at the beginning of January and is still in the top ten nearly eight weeks later.

Last week Ed released a version of the song featuring rapper Stormzy following a surprise collaboration on The BRITs. The Stormzy remix has since gone straight to number one meaning Ed now as four songs in the top ten, the others being 'Shape of You' (original), 'Castle on the Hill' and 'How Would You Feel (Paean)'.
