Superstar DJ Calvin Harris has revealed to his fans how he made his recent hit 'Slide'.

The Scottish DJ posted a series of Instagram Stories and a two minute video on Twitter showing a fascinating 'making of' video.

And it's exciting to see a master at work!

The video shows the music producer in his studio playing the distinctive melody from 'Slide' on a keyboard.

As the video progresses you see the talented musician strumming on electric and bass guitars in front of the backdrop of an Acid Man poster, harking back to the 'old skool' days of rave.

Once he has recorded all the elements individually Calvin then splices everything together with the vocals from Frank Ocean and Migos on a computer and his hit is made!

Easy as that!

While the actual process was most likely 'just a little bit' more complicated, it's a great insight into the process.

We weren't the only ones who found Calvin's video pretty impressive, his tweet attracted over 82K retweets and 1000 responses including one from fellow dance DJ Eric Prydz who simply said, 'love this tweet'.

Calvin has yet to release the music video for 'Slide', but you can enjoy the audio preview below.
