A photo unveiled today reveals that work on Adele’s Madame Tussauds waxwork is nearing completion.

The image shows sculptor Louis Wiltshire finely honing the clay head that will be used to create the mould for Adele’s wax figure.

Work is also well underway on the 25-year-old’s figure, which will be portrayed “dramatic pose” mirroring her 2012 Grammy Awards performance.

The waxwork is scheduled for completion in July when it will go on display at Madame Tussauds London and its sister venue in Amsterdam.

Madame Tussauds PR manager Nicole Fenner commented: “(Adele) is one of the most influential British female artists and we know she is going to be a huge hit with our guests alongside our other pop greats. We’re very excited to welcome her to Madame Tussauds London.”

Adele joins a growing list of female pop stars who have gone on display at Madame Tussauds London including Beyoncé, Rihanna, Britney Spears and the late Amy Winehouse.
