One Direction have started shooting a sequel a sequel to their 3D concert film ‘This Is Us’.

A huge success raking in more than £40million at the global box office, ‘This Is Us’ melded live material shot at The O2 Arena with footage of the boys on tour and their beginnings as a band.

Director Morgan Spurlock has confirmed that a cameraman is already following 1D on the South American leg of their Where We Are Tour to collate material for the follow-up.

"Yes, there will be a follow-up to This Is Us," Morgan told The Daily Mirror. "At this moment, Ben Winston is with the band on their world tour filming what happens. He worked with me and is a great producer.

"I know Simon Cowell wants the band to get awards for this, and was upset when they missed out on being nominated in the music category for an Oscar on our film.

"It was a good song, and I was surprised that they weren't even considered. This time, he will want them to try again."

Together with the huge box office success, This Is Us smashed DVD and Blu-ray records in the UK selling over 170,000 copies in just one day!
