One Direction: 'We're Too Busy To Feud With The Wanted'

They call the Twitter spats 'boring'

One Direction have called their on-going feud with The Wanted “boring” and claim they’re “too busy” to continue squabbling.

The rival boybands have been involved in several spats on Twitter in the past year and regularly badmouth each other in the press.

1D’s Zayn Malik even claims he offered Max George a fight, but The Wanted star backed down.

Commenting on the dispute, Zayn told Metro: "I already offered Max George. I asked him if he wants to fight. I've already said to him I'll fight him and he didn't want to."

Louis Tomlinson chipped in: "It is such b*llocks because they will not live up to their word."

Liam Payne said: "We're all too busy anyway. When is this ever going to happen? We'd have to do it on a day off and that would be boring."

Louis added: "I love an argument, but it's even got boring for me now. I mean... grow up."

Despite the war of words, Zayn admits that initially they respected The Wanted: "We met them on The X Factor and they were proper nice and we thought, 'We really like you'. We looked up to them."

Asked by the newspaper whether they would consider a duet to reconcile their differences, Liam quipped: "Let's do one and call it 'The Homeboys Part II'.”

Before Louis shunned the idea: "I don't think our musical styles would be suited. Our sound is quite different."

The Wanted’s new single ‘Walks Like Rihanna’ is released on 23rd June. One Direction’s as-yet-untitled third album is slated for release later this year.
