Little Mix Start Work On 'Experimental' Second Album

They speak about the follow-up to 'DNA'!

Little Mix have revealed they’re already hard at work in the studio on their second studio album.

Just six months after their debut album ‘DNA’ reached the top 3 in the charts, Perrie, Jesy, Leigh-Anne and Jade are already formulating ideas for the follow-up.

The girls say their experience of performing tracks to their fans will definitely help shape the sound the record.

"The ones that got the best reaction on tour were the dancey ones - the upbeat and uplifting songs," Jesy Nelson said. "So I reckon a lot of that will be on the new album."

Leigh-Anne Pinnock added to Digital Spy: "Also though, with 'Turn Your Face' and the slower songs people were swaying their arms, so there will definitely be more ballads as well.

"It's about showing off our vocals and finding the right balance - and just being a bit more experimental."

In a separate interview with The Sun, Jade Thirlwall said: “I think we're more confident as writers. We're more experienced now.

"We'll have the same kind of sound as the last album but be a bit more adventurous and a bit more mature, with more vocals. I think we'd keep the same uplifting message, like 'Wings' and 'Change Your Life' had.

"We still want the universal message to our fans. Obviously we're all loved-up at the minute, which we weren’t last time, so maybe we can do a couple of love songs too."
