Lily Allen’s eagerly-anticipated John Lewis Christmas advert has debuted online.

The animated clip called ‘The Bear and The Hare’ comes sound tracked with Lily’s stripped-back interpretation of Keane’s 2004 song ‘Somewhere Only We Know’.

The touching woodland tale will get its television premiere during The X Factor on Saturday night (9th November).

Aside from collaborating with Professor Green, T-Pain and Pink, it’s Lily’s first solo musical output since taking a hiatus from music in 2009.

Now becoming a firm festive institution, previous John Lewis Christmas adverts include Ellie Goulding’s cover of Elton John’s ‘Your Song’ (2010), Slow Moving Millie’s cover of The Smith’s ‘Please Please Please…’ (2011) and Gabrielle Alpin’s cover of Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s ‘The Power of Love’ (2012).

Lily Allen is currently hard at work on her third studio album, which is expected to land in 2014.
