Lady Gaga is set to become the first recording artist to perform live in outer space!!

According to US Weekly, Mother Monster will board one of Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic space ships in 2015 and perform live on board.

The ground-breaking live spectacle will be beamed down to the Zero G Colony Festival at Spaceport America, New Mexico where a three-day interstellar event is due to take place.

The gossip magazine quotes a source who claims that Gaga has to do “a month of vocal chord training because of the atmosphere.”

After retweeting US Weekly’s report, Gaga took to Twitter last night to write:

One of Gaga’s nemeses Azealia Banks took to Twitter to shout down her rumoured space performance, writing: "Kudos to gaga for trying to be original. but that space s*** sounds hella dangerous. I bet fifty bucks she chickens out and cancels."

Celebrities including Rihanna, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Ashton Kutcher and Kate Winslet have all reportedly signed to go into outer space.

Will Gaga perform David Bowie’s ‘Space Oddity’ like astronaut Chris Hadfield? Who knows?!
