Katy Perry Duets With The Rolling Stones In Las Vegas

She fulfils one of her big dreams

Published 13th May 2013

Katy Perry joined The Rolling Stones on stage in Las Vegas on Saturday night (11th May).

The ‘California Gurls’ singer dueted (and flirted heavily) with Mick Jagger on a version of The Stones’ 1978 classic ‘Beast of Burden’ in front of the sold-out MGM Grand Garden Arena crowd.

An excited Katy took to Twitter immediately afterwards to write: “Yes, I just did gyrated on Mick Jagger. WHAT?! #Stones50”

The following morning, she Tweeted the below pic of herself and The Stones, writing: “Thanks for letting me be the 5th wheel last night! @TheRollingStones”

Katy joins a growing list of stars who’ve united with The Stones on their sprawling ’50 and Counting’ tour including No Doubt’s Gwen Stefani, Florence Welch, Tom Waits and Keith Urban.

The Rolling Stones headline Glastonbury next month and play two massive London Hyde Park gigs on 6th and 13th July.

Last month, Katy Perry revealed she is “halfway through” recording the follow-up to the multi-million selling ‘Teenage Dream’.

She has drafted in a string of high profile producers/songwriters to work on the record, including Max Martin (Britney Spears, Ke$ha), Dr Luke (Lady Gaga, Rihanna), Greg Wells (Adele, Mika) and Sia, the woman behind Rihanna’s ‘Diamonds’.
