At her sold-out Eden Sessions show in Cornwall last night, Ellie Goulding proved that she’s not just a great singer – she’s also an incredible peacemaker!

When a fracas broke out between a group of girls during a scintillating performance of her number five smash ‘Anything Could Happen’, Ellie stepped in to defuse the situation.

According to Digital Spy, Ellie said to the fighting group: "Girls, what's up? That song is meant to be happiness, not fights. No drink throwing. It's not nice. It's really annoying and it's bloody sticky.”

When one of the quarrelling party answered back, Ellie responded: "We've all got stories, doesn't mean you have to tell them.

"It's quite a laddish crowd tonight, fights breaking out, drinks spilling."

A clearly talented mediator, when the rest of the 6,000 strong crowd started booing the bickering group Ellie put a stop to it.

"Stop the boos. Booing isn't nice," she reportedly added.

Ellie’s epic 21-song set boasted the singles ‘Goodness Gracious’, ‘Starry Eyed’, ‘I Need You Love’, ‘Lights’ and a rousing encore of ‘You My Everything’ and the ultimate ‘Burn’.

Ellie plays T in the Park Festival in Balado, Kinross this weekend.
