New date announced for The BRIT Awards 2023
The ceremony will take place on a Saturday night
For the first time in the ceremony's entire history, The BRIT Awards 2023 with Mastercard will take place on a Saturday evening next year.
When do The BRIT Awards take place?
It has now been confirmed The BRIT Awards 2023 will take place on the evening of Saturday 11th February 2023.
Although the ceremony has historically always taken place on a Tuesday evening, bosses have decided to move the show to a Saturday night for its 30th year.
The date isn't the only thing to change for the next ceremony, as it's also been announced that Damian Christian, Managing Director and President of Promotions at Atlantic Records (part of Warner Music UK), will be taking over as Chair of the BRIT Committee for 2023.
Commenting on the new date, Christian said: “The BRITs is the biggest night of the year for the UK music industry, and we want as many eyes on it as possible as we showcase the best and most diverse British talent. Moving the show to a Saturday will breathe new life into the iconic ceremony, while also introducing a new and more engaged audience.”

The BRIT Awards returned to its usual format this year following changes for the Coronavirus pandemic.
The ceremony, which took part in February, featured amazing performances from the likes of Adele, Dave, Little Simz, Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, Sam Fender and Ed Sheeran, as well as some of the biggest stars in music picking up prestigious awards.
As ever, the 2023 BRIT Awards will also feature high-profile performances and awards, as the ceremony celebrates its 30th anniversary.
Nominations and performers are set to be unveiled in the coming months.
The BRIT Awards 2023 with Mastercard will take place on Saturday 11th February 2023 at the O2 Arena in London.
