The singer calls her wax likeness 'scary!'

Adele’s amazing wax figure has been unveiled at Madame Tussauds this morning!

Adorned with a replica of the dress Adele wore at the 2012 Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, the flawless likeness comes complete with the singer’s trademark black eyeliner and carefully coiffured locks.

Ahead of the launch in London this morning, Adele had a sneak peak of the waxwork and was flabbergasted when she came face-to-face with herself.

Overwhelmed, she commented: "That's scary! It's amazing – I feel a bit emotional. They've even got my chin right."

Adele’s wax figures will go on display in both London and Amsterdam.

“Adele is quite simply one of the world's most successful, celebrated and popular performers and rightly deserves a place here at Madame Tussauds London," commented PR Manager, Nicole Fenner.

“We are delighted to honour her here today - and in Amsterdam too - and we know guests will flock to stand on stage next to her.

“We wanted to replicate her as a dynamic performer and hopefully we've achieved that.”

Adele joins fellow female performers Beyonce, Rihanna, Amy Winehouse and Britney Spears who have all been honoured with wax figures.

Nicole Fenner added: “The response this morning has been extremely positive. She is one of the most influential and acclaimed British female artists ever and looks right at home alongside our other pop greats."
