65,000 Americans have signed an online petition calling for the government to deport Justin Bieber from their country.

Angered by the teenage singer’s recent controversial antics, including his arrest for DUI last week, the signatories want the California resident’s green card revoked and for him to be sent back to his homeland.

At the time of writing the petition on the Whitehouse’s official website has 65,000 signatures – 35,000 short of the 100k target which will spark an official response from the Obama administration.

Under the title WE PETITION THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION TO: Deport Justin Bieber and revoke his green card, the petition reads:

“We the people of the United States feel that we are being wrongly represented in the world of pop culture. We would like to see the dangerous, reckless, destructive, and drug abusing, Justin Bieber deported and his green card revoked. He is not only threatening the safety of our people but he is also a terrible influence on our nations youth. We the people would like to remove Justin Bieber from our society.”

19-year-old Bieber would potentially be considered for deportation if convicted in a US court of an aggravated felony, a morally depraved crime or any crime with a prison sentence of a year or more.
