WATCH: Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard on Assassin's Creed

Adapted from the popular computer game, Assassin's Creed is the brand new film starring Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard.
Assassin's Creed is about Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) who experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar. Using revolutionary technology called the Animus Project which unlocks his genetic memories Callum 'becomes' Aguilar.
Aguilar lived in 15th century Spain and Callum discovers he has descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins.
Lucy from the Cool FM Ents team caught up with Michael and Marion Cotillard recently to find out what was important to them as they made the film.
Marion, who plays Sofia Rikkin, the scientist who works on the Animus Project, said it was a "really fascinating" idea, even for someone who hasn't played the game.
She even goes as far as to say that the idea is "plausible" continuing, "you could actually use this machine and travel back in time into our ancestor's life!"
While we aren't quite sure the technology is that advanced at the moment it is a fascinating idea that Michael expanded on saying,
"That gut-feeling or an instinct is actually that, it's survival things that they've passed down to us through the generations in our DNA."
In this interview Michael and Marion also reveal which one of their films they would like to see as a computer game and Michael tells us what type of film he would like to do next. You might be surprised!
