Taking place on Monday 19th October in London, The Q Awards, in association with Absolute Radio will see some of the biggest names in music descend upon the capital to battle it out for the coveted titles.

From today you can have your say in a total of seven categories over at www.Qthemusic.com. They are as follows:

Q Best New Act presented by Orange Amplification Q Best Track presented by Absolute Radio Q Best Video Q Best Album Q Best Live Act presented by The Cavern Club Q Best Solo Artist Q Best Act in the World Today presented by Queen Bohemian Lager

!

Comedian and Absolute Radio DJ Christian O’Connell will once again host the ceremony. He said: “I’m in a world of pain right now with the news One Direction are breaking up in 17 years time.

“I cried myself to sleep last night into my 1D pillowcase. Looking forward to coming back to the Q awards stage again, not too often you see a knight of the realm falling over drunk and actually forgetting who they had come on stage to present an award to. More of that please”.

A variety of current artists and music legends will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Sam Smith, Kasabian, Ed Sheeran and Paolo Nutini who all triumphed in 2014.

Speaking exclusively to Cool FM's Entertainment Hub, Q Magazine’s Niall Doherty explained who he thinks might win big this year.

Niall also told us what he thinks makes the Q Awards stand out from the smorgasbord of other music awards ceremonies throughout the year.

The Q Awards nominations will be announced on Wednesday 16th September ahead of the main event on Monday 19th October 2015.
