Upcoming 'Top Gear Live' shows postponed by BBC
Four shows in Norway have been cancelled
Top Gear Live shows scheduled in Norway next week have been postponed, according to the BBC.
Jeremy Clarkson was set to co-host the shows alongside Richard Hammond and James May, however all four events at Stavanger's Somarka Arena will now be rearranged.
According to the Radio Times more than 20,000 of the possible 26,000 tickets had already been sold.
However new dates are set to be announced for later this year, with organisers apologising for any inconvenience.
It is understood that the postponement of the Norway shows was to allow fans enough notice to cancel travel plans and accommodation, as work on the venue would have needed to start well ahead of the planned dates.
All other 'Top Gear Live' dates will reportedly go ahead as normal.
This news comes in the wake of Jeremy Clarkson’s suspension following a ‘fracas’ with a producer on the show.
A report regarding the incident is set to be handled by the BBC this week, with director general Tony Hall set to consider all evidence before any further steps are taken.
Meanwhile, Clarkson has claimed that recent comments he made at a charity event, in which he appeared to criticise the BBC were meant as a joke.
The presenter allegedly gave a 'colourful' description of the BBC and its bosses at the event on Thursday, suggesting he had already been sacked.
An online petition for the controversial host to be reinstated on Top Gear has now received over one million signatures.
