Stars from soap operas, dramas and reality TV shows graced the red carpet to celebrate the last 12 months in TV at the TV Choice Awards 2017.
Fighting off strong competition from EastEnders, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks, Emmerdale was the big winner this year winning the Best Soap Award along with three other highly-coveted categories.
Actors from the popular TV show also won, with Ryan Hawley, Charlotte Bellamy and Sally Dexter taking home Best Soap Actor, Best Soap Actress and Best Soap Newcomer respectively.
Meanwhile when it came to the drama categories, the gripping crime show Broadchurch, took home three awards, including Best Drama Series with the leading actor David Tennant taking home Best Actor and Olivia Colman winning Best Actress.

Cookery legend Mary Berry was awarded the award for Outstanding Contribution to TV thanks to her amazing career that started over 40 years ago, leading her up to the present day and the huge success of The Great British Bake Off.

Unsurprisingly the unstoppable duo Ant & Dec took home the award for Best Entertainment Show for their Saturday Night Takeaway, whilst Strictly Come Dancing took home Best Talent Show.

This comes just days before the new series of Strictly Come Dancing is about to start with celebrities such as former winner from The X Factor, Alexandra Burke, former JLS member Aston Merrygold and Key 103's breakfast presenter Gemma Atkinson.
