Tom Hardy To Star Alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in The Revenant

British movie star Tom Hardy has signed up for the upcoming movie The Revenant.

Hardy joins the previously confirmed lead actor Leonardo DiCaprio on the A-list cast for the gritty revenge thriller.

Directed by acclaimed Mexican filmmaker Alejandro González Iñárritu, The Revenant is an adaptation of Michael Punke’s bloody 2003 novel The Revenant: A Novel of Revenge.

The film tells the story of fur trapper Hugh Glass (Leonardo DiCaprio) who treks 3,000 miles of uncharted American wilderness to get revenge on two companions who abandoned him following a bear attack.

Filming starts this September and the movie is tentatively set for release in autumn 2015.

Tom Hardy is currently filming the movie Legend in which he stars as both of the Kray twins, Ronald and Reginald Kray.
