Here in the UK we will get to see the new Star Wars film before the USA!
In a Facebook post and tweet it has been announced that the UK release date will be the 17th December, a day earlier than previously announced.
That makes today (8th September) 100 days until the release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
(function(d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)0; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.3"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);}(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); This announcement follows 'Force Friday' which saw the release of the incredibly popular Star Wars toys many of which sold out across the country.
Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is set around 30 years after the events of the 1983 film, Return of the Jedi and will introduce new lead characters, Finn, Rey, and Poe Dameron.
Many characters from previous Star Wars films will also be returning including Hans Solo (Harrison Ford), Leia Organa (Carrie Fisher) and Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill).
