Spurned man saws wife's belongings in half & sells them on eBay

Martin says he was "really angry"

A jilted German man has taken revenge on his ex-wife by sawing their joint belongings in half and selling them on eBay.

Martin was disgruntled when his wife left him for a friend so he posted a montage of himself sawing their belongings in half on YouTube along with the caption “Thank you for 12 beautiful years, Laura. You really deserve half. Greeting also to my successor."

Items that were chopped in half and put for sale on eBay included four dining room chairs, a bike, an iPhone, their car, a cordless telephone, a sofa, a motorcycle helmet and a computer.

Martin’s items have attracted a fair bit of interest on eBay with the destroyed teddy bear currently on €51 (£36), the Vauxhall Corsa on €60 (£42), the iPhone on €78 (£55) and the computer at the top of the pile on €81 (£57).

Items faring less well include the bed (€3.50), wardrobe (€4.50) and, somewhat surprisingly, the bike (€12.50).

Speaking to Metro, Martin said, "My wife left me after 12 years of marriage to be with a friend.

"I was really angry, so cut up everything and sent her half. I put the rest on eBay as a joke and a message for Laura. Now it’s everywhere on the internet, it’s crazy."
