Miley came into 2015 like a 'Wrecking Ball', and has us all left opened mouthed at her 'activities'... So, to make it easy for you - we’ve put together some highlights to show why Miley is more than just twerking and tongues.
1. Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz
This year she released a psychedelic pop album made with Wayne Coyne, without her record labels’ support. With 23 tracks, it's a little OUT there - but still a great listen.
This was a brave move for the pop princess and even if you don’t like the music, you have to give her some credit for doing it on her own… and for free!
2. Being Open and Honest on Late Night TV
This year she’s really opened up to us on one of the biggest shows Jimmy Kimmel Live..
In this interview she said her dad’s cool with her provocative style and thinks she’s a good person. So there, haters!
Plus she even dared go undercover to find out what people really thought of her...
3. She does good deeds
Miley set up the Happy Hippie Foundation which helps the young LGBT and homeless. To launch the charity she released a number of music videos with famous pals such as Ariana Grande.
In November, she was awarded the Vanguard Award from the Los Angeles LGBT Centre for her Charity work.
It's not the only good deed she's done, as she previously took a young homeless man to the MTV Music Video Awards and let him accept the award for her.
It helped raise awareness of all the young people who were homeless in Los Angeles.
4. Gender Identity is something she is NOT afraid to talk about
She openly admitted to Paper Magazine this year, that her gender is kind of irrelevant when it comes to love. She said “I am literally open to every single thing that is consenting and doesn’t involve an animal and everyone is of age. Everything that’s legal, I’m down with… I don’t relate to being a boy or girl, and I don’t have to have my partner relate to boy or girl.”
So, whilst she might be happy to flaunt her sexuality on stage, it’s actually also helped bring serious attention and awareness to a subject which can be a taboo topic.
5. She has a great voice!
So, apart from all the craziness above Miley is an amazing singer.

6. Her fashion sense
Yes, she has crazy outfits, in fact it probably be odd if she wore anything considered 'normal'. From explicit costumes to an emoji mask, you've got to give her credit for not caring what others think.
